The e-WorForce Knowledge Portal is a web-based,open content, and
citizen centric instructional deliveryinitiative to develop the workplace skills of the
Philippine WorkForce through the use of community
e-centers, Internet Cafe, Internet computer laboratories,
and home-based Internet access, in all
parts of the Philippines.
This is the common
gateway
to ENTERthe
virtual spaces of globally shared on-line career assessment tools, on-line learning materials, and job posting
location
in the Internet.
It allows discovery, evaluation and use of workplace skills
web-based learning resources that are aligned to the requirements of
the local and global
working environments.
It believes in not-to-reinvent
the wheel,
and promotes the re-usability of free and quality e-services in the
digital world to meet the needs for WORKPLACE SKILLS and JOBS
of
the out-of-school youth, the underemployed, unemployed, the
empowered women, and the marginalized sectors.
It advocates the development, and the online publication of
freely
shareable web-based learning objects coming from the trade
and
job skills practititioner located at the different communities of the

real-time web-based communication and
collaboration between the learners and workplace skills training
providers.
It provides the on-line location that will enable

subject matter experts and instructors
to publish and deliver

the use offree and
open standard technologiesand
content.
